Dermapen treatment is Collagen Induction Therapy.

Dermapen therapy provides advanced skin micro-surgical needling, a procedure that stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely, creating smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.

The principle behind the Dermapen is stimulating cell renewal and new collagen, without damaging the epidermis. The treatment uses a device called the Dermapen4 with 13 very fine needles designed to achieve a ‘controlled injury’ to the skin without damage. The needles create micro-channels into the deeper skin layers resulting in an increased absorption of the active ingredients into the skin from products. There is a topical product infusion increase by 200%!

As the skin repairs itself, new collagen is deposited in the papillary dermis, plumping the skin from underneath, to smooth out wrinkles fine lines and indented scars. The skin’s strength, collagen and elastin are improved for a rejuvenated, smooth and youthful complexion.

Treatment Information

After a thorough skin analysis, a practitioner will prescribe a personal course of needling treatments appropriate to the skin condition being treated. Ideally treatments are performed every 6-8 weeks to ensure maximum results. Each clinical appointment will last approximately 45 minutes.

Results may be seen even after one treatment. Clients report a firmer, even toned, more revitalized skin with a visible decrease in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, sun damage, acne, enlarged pores, scaring, stretch marks.

Home care can be used 2-3 times a week at home. Treatments can be performed in as little as 3 minutes and the device will last up to 6 months before a replacement is required.

Beauty Base DNC derma roller 0.25mm home care treatments require no down time and have no discomfort. In salon treatments may feel slight discomfort but it is over quick, just like IPL or a wax. Clients will generally be red and tender after the treatment and possibly through to the next day, after this time the skin will start to heal and look and feel normal.

How many treatments will I need and what is the cost?
With a quick free skin consultation we can create a treatment program to suit each client’s personal needs, with a full skin analysis and pre assessment. Your dermal therapist will provide you with insight into home care products, home care routine and in-salon treatment protocols. 3 treatments are usually recommended (unless deeper pigmentation or scarring is the issue) with an additional yearly top up to keep the skins cell rejuvenating to their healthiest ability. These initial treatments will be at 6-8 week intervals between each visit.
