  • What is a HydraFacial?

    What is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a non-invasive, multi-step facial treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration. Using patented Vortex-Fusion technology, the treatment removes impurities from the pores while simultaneously delivering hydrating serums to the skin.

The result is skin that feels deeply cleansed, smoother, plumper and more radiant—without the discomfort or downtime associated with more intensive resurfacing treatments.

Why does my skin need a HydraFacial?

Dehydration, dead skin cell build-up, excess oil and congestion can all leave your complexion looking dull, uneven or tired. HydraFacial addresses multiple concerns in a single treatment while replenishing essential hydration.

It’s an excellent choice when your skin needs an instant refresh, whether you’re maintaining your overall skin health or preparing your complexion for an upcoming event.

What are the expected outcomes? What is the longevity of the results?

Immediately after your HydraFacial, your skin should feel deeply cleansed, hydrated, smooth and refreshed. Many guests also notice a brighter, plumper and more radiant appearance following treatment.

The visible hydration and smoothness can last for several days or longer depending on your skin, lifestyle and home care. For ongoing skin maintenance, your therapist may recommend regular HydraFacial treatments approximately once a month.

    Hydrafacial FAQ

    FAQs About Hydrafacial

Yes. HydraFacial can be particularly effective for blackheads and congested pores. The treatment uses controlled suction to help loosen and remove excess oil, debris and impurities without relying solely on manual extractions.

HydraFacial can make pores appear cleaner and more refined by removing congestion, excess oil and dead skin cell build-up. However, no facial can permanently change your natural pore size.

Keeping pores clear through professional treatments and appropriate home care can help minimise their appearance over time.

Yes. HydraFacial is a popular pre-event treatment because it can leave the complexion looking fresh, smooth, plump and radiant with minimal downtime.

If you’ve never had one before, we recommend having your first treatment well ahead of your event. For weddings, our therapists can also create a longer-term treatment plan leading up to the day.

If your skin is already familiar with HydraFacial, having your treatment in the days leading up to an event can provide a beautiful boost of hydration and radiance.

For an important event or wedding, speak with us in advance. This allows us to plan your treatments around your individual skin rather than relying on a last-minute facial.

We recommend leaving your skin makeup-free immediately after your HydraFacial where possible. Your skin has just been deeply cleansed, exfoliated and hydrated, so it’s an ideal opportunity to simply let it enjoy the treatment.

Your therapist will advise you when to resume your normal makeup and skincare routine.

Avoid harsh exfoliation and potentially irritating active skincare immediately following your treatment. This can include scrubs, retinoids and strong exfoliating acids.

You should also protect your freshly exfoliated skin from excessive sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum SPF every day. Your therapist will provide personalised aftercare based on your skin and treatment.

Both treatments exfoliate the skin, but they work differently. Microdermabrasion primarily uses mechanical exfoliation to remove surface dead skin cells, while HydraFacial combines exfoliation with suction-based extraction and serum infusion.

Neither is automatically better. The most appropriate treatment depends on your skin type, sensitivity and concerns.

Absolutely. HydraFacial is suitable for men’s skin and can be particularly useful for concerns such as congestion, excess oil, blackheads, rough texture and dehydration.

It can also help remove the build-up of dead skin cells around facial hair and areas regularly affected by shaving.

One of HydraFacial’s most talked-about features is the collection chamber that can show the debris extracted from the skin during treatment.

What you see can include oil, dead skin cells and other surface debris removed during the cleansing and extraction process. While it’s certainly satisfying to see, the quality of your treatment shouldn’t be judged solely by how much appears in the chamber.
