What Happens During an Eyebrow Wax?
Every set of brows is different, so your appointment begins with a consultation.
1. We Talk About Your Brows
If it’s your first visit, we’ll ask what you like about your current brows and whether there’s a particular shape or result you’re hoping to achieve.
Already a Beauty Base guest?
We’ll check how your brows have been since your last appointment and whether we’re maintaining your usual shape or making any changes.
2. We Check Your Skin
The skin around the brows can be sensitive.
Before waxing, let your therapist know if you are using Vitamin A, retinoids, AHAs, BHAs or medications that may increase skin sensitivity, or if you have any allergies or concerns we should be aware of.
This allows your therapist to assess whether waxing is appropriate for your skin on the day.
3. We Agree on the Shape
We don’t believe in simply taking wax to your brows and hoping for the best.
Your therapist can show you the areas they intend to remove and discuss any asymmetry, sparse areas or gaps before beginning.
If you’re trying to completely reshape your brows, we’ll also be realistic about what can be achieved in one appointment. Sometimes creating the shape you want means allowing certain areas to grow over several visits.
4. We Shape & Refine
Your therapist will carefully wax the agreed areas before refining the shape with tweezing and trimming where required.
The result is a cleaner, more polished brow while preserving the shape and fullness that suits you.
